Can disturbaces and downtimes be prevented by using filters?

Solid particles are one of the most common causes of damage at components in lubrication systems. If your high-quality units get damaged by contamination disturbances and machine/plant downtimes may occur.

Downtime can have the following causes:

  • Contamination before commissioning (e.g. metal shavings, paint residues)
  • Contamination during montage (e.g. feathering, sealing material)
  • Contamination by oil (e.g. residues from production or filling)
  • Contamination after commissioning (e.g. abrasion, oil ageing, water in oil)

To prevent all types of contaminations and resulting downtimes, filters are used. Filters reduce solid particles so that your units may operate more efficient, reliable and maintenance-friendly.
